J. Richards ~ an interview and her novel ~ Sinners

Jennifer Richards

BIO – J. Richards is a twenty six year old mother and wife. She was born in a small town in New Hampshire, which she left at the age of eighteen to marry the love of her life. Leaving everything and everyone she had ever known to live down south with her new husband. They have now been married for almost eight years and are raising a wild child of a daughter. Her husband is in the military and because of that, they have shared the joys and struggles of moving around the country.

J. Richards has always loved reading and writing, dreams of becoming a published author seemed just that, only dreams. In 2015, with encouragement from a friend, she submitted a short story to etopia press and was beyond surprised when they wished to publish it. She now has four works under contract and a very hot series in the making.

Q: How would you describe yourself as a color? Think personality here. Are you a light and airy pastel person, or more of a deep, dark, sultry and mysterious color?
A: I think of myself as a sheer pink. One time a random stranger stopped me while at an amusement park, she touched my shoulder and said “I’m sorry to bother you but you have the most beautiful aura! All pink and welcoming. It matches your laugh.” So I think she kinda nailed it.

Q: If you could morph into any creature what would it be?
A: Oh easy, a dragonfly.
If you don’t mind me asking, why?
A: I’ve always had this connection with the pretty little bugs. When I’m having a bad day, one will always find its way around to let me know it will be ok. They are beautiful but pack a punch when the sting and I think I would love to buzz around a lake all day.

Q: Coffee or Tea?
A: Coffee! Well, Ice coffee. It’s my drug of choice.

Q: How do you feel about exercise?
A: Exercise, totally a necessary evil.

Q: How did you come to write your genera of choice?
A: When I was young, a friend and I stumbled upon her mother’s copy of “The claiming of Sleeping Beauty” by Anne Rice and I knew then, I had to write hot, nasty smut! It was my calling, but I was too afraid and didn’t really know how to go about finding a publisher. After reading the book, I devoured erotica novels just to fuel my dreams and here we are today!

Q: Who's your favorite author?
A: I have a tie, Anne Rice is so incredible but Cherise Sinclaire is my everything! Her Shadowlands series *Swoon* to die for!

Q: Would you ever consider a joint project?
A: I would. I’ve thought about it a lot actually. My best friend is an erotica author as well as my sound board, beta reader and venting ear. I think we would make an incredible combo!

Q: Which of your own releases was your particular favorite?
A:  Sinners really is my favorite so far. It’s the longest and the main character is on the curvy side. She embraces it and loves herself, most of the time. Her and I are a lot a like.

Q: Do you write long hand first, or does it go straight into the computer?
A: Everything goes straight into the computer. If I wrote it all out I would never be able to read the end of every page. My hand writing is great at the tops of pages but down near the end, all squiggles.
Q: What are you working on now? Would you like to share anything about it?
A: My WIP is a bit of a hot mess right now. It’s about your everyday working wife and mother who is overcome by delusions.  Everywhere she goes, all her errands, she has erotic visions that scare her since she is unsure which is reality and which isn’t. She wants help but is afraid of losing her children if people know she is “Crazy”. I’m kind of just letting it take me where it will for now.

Q: Do you have a new book coming out soon? Tell us about it.
A: I Do. October 2nd, book two of the submission series is releasing. It’s titled An Agitated Gentleman. After that, The Wet series is coming out but I believe it’s being mushed into one book.

Q: How can we find you? Do you have a web page, FaceBook page or any buy links?

Q: Are you currently participating in a blog tour? If you are let’s tell everyone where you’re going to be so they can catch up with you again.

Not all who wander are lost...

Tabitha LeClaire searches the kink clubs in San Francisco for the Dom who can push her limits, yet still appreciate the finer points of manners and grace, which she's worked so hard to master. When a friend introduces her to a mysterious masked man, Tabitha thinks she may have finally found her match and eagerly accepts his collar. But she may have made a mistake--as they say, marry in haste, repent in leisure.

Self-made businessman Nathan Battle loves his new little sub. But he can't let her know that. Pushing her to forget her proper manners, he offers her a collar, hoping to keep her subservient to his needs. For now. Because Nathan doesn't do relationships.

Until family issues demand he return home, and he realizes he doesn't want to go without his little slave. And when his mother falls in love with Tabitha, and his brother starts making eyes at her as well, things can only go from bad to worse. Until they hit rock bottom when he finds his brother and his little slave in bed...

Reader note: contains BDSM, spanking, BBW heroine, dominance and submission, wax play, rope bondage, and strong erotic romance elements
