He smiled. She had a sense of humor, too. But now she was so close and, God, she smelled like heaven. Her perfume filled his senses. He didn’t think he would ever forget it. “What about travel? Ever been to Egypt?” he asked.

“Actually I have.”

“The Pyramids?”

“What is Egypt without the Pyramids?” She was bending toward him.

“And sand.” He swallowed. He was having trouble holding on to his train of thought.

“Lots of sand,” she said. “And camels, too.” She was just inches from his face.

BLURB:

The odds are against him, but Jerin will find a way! With or without the gene Kaley will be his…

On Setera, only one in four hundred thousand is born possessing the cryan gene—a gene essential to the survival of the Seteran race. Jerin and the others like him are duty bound to find the match to that gene somewhere in the universe, for it can no longer be found on Setera. With no clear instructions on how this task is to be accomplished it is a daunting undertaking, like finding a needle in a haystack.

Jerin’s assigned quadrant is Earth. After twelve years of searching he is beginning to lose hope, until the answer hits him over the head with a frying pan. Now all he has to do is convince this beautiful, feisty woman to follow him to another universe in a galaxy far far away.

TEASER / EXCERPT:

He should be insulted at her innuendo that he was inept at his job, but he wasn’t. She was a feisty little thing. Not so little he corrected himself. He longed to hold her to find out how well she fit next to his body. The women of Earth made him uneasy. When he touched them, he had to be mindful of their fragility. He had no doubt that Kaley was strong, her ability to wield that cast iron frying pan proved that. The thought of touching her, without fear of breaking her as he caressed her and became lost in passion, was intoxicating. He almost stepped forward to act on the desire.

He cleared his throat. “I am qualified,” he managed to say while in his mind’s eye he loosened her hair from its bonds.

She blushed as if the heat of his thoughts had touched her.

“In that case I will take my leave. Miss Sherwood, I trust you have our number? Don’t be afraid to use it should the need arise.”

The police officer gave Jerin a glance filled with warning and then made his way out of the door closing it behind him.

Teaser ~ for Undivided Attention (A Mystic Museum Novella) by Loc Glin

Undivided Attention
The Mystic Museum Series 5
By Loc Glin
Genre: Erotic Romance
Word Count: 30,233
Heat Rating: SEXTREME

Categories: Erotic Romance (MF), bondage, spanking, paranormal elements, HEA

BLURB:
On the eve of her wedding, Korina discovers the rumors of her betrothed’s hideous looks are true. Fearing the stories of his brutality are also factual she takes drastic action. The result of which lands her in an alien dimension.

Five years later she is compelled to visit Minerva’s Mystic Museum. The ‘powers that be’ have interceded giving her the chance to change that destiny.

Korina is sent home where she discovers it is the morning of her wedding day. Determined to do the right thing, she marries Adam.

Witches are not unknown to Korina, so how will she handle the curse that has divided her husband into two men?

Adam is caring and kind. Arun is, well, a bastard! Unbeknownst to her they are two halves of the whole man she has married.

Will Adam’s ugly face and Arun’s kinky sexual desires send her running home? Or, will she stay with her husband, honoring her betrothal commitment?

Does Korina have a kinky side as well?

How will she break the curse? Does she want to?

Here is the premise for the Mystic Museum Series

Minerva’s Mystic Museum is located in New York City. Every full moon the “powers that be” choose someone from the visitors of the museum. This someone, known as the mystic walker, will be the hero/heroine of the novel. The “powers” select someone they feel deserves a second chance, or just a chance to follow their destiny. Minerva, the curator and caretaker of the museum meets the chosen mystic walker. Through the magic that has been entrusted to her, Minerva supplies them with the opportunity to change their lives.

TEASER / EXCERPT:

Adam had never in his life been jealous, but he was consumed by that emotion now. Thoughts of doing bodily harm to every man that danced with his wife and held her in their arms crossed his mind. He wanted to forbid her to dance again, at least with a man other than him. She needed to understand that, as long as she was his wife, no man would be allowed to touch her. He wanted to make these things clear to her, but he couldn’t because Arun would touch her. He knew that as surely as he knew he must breathe if he wished to live. Hopefully she would be the type of woman raised to be true to and obedient of her husband’s wishes. If he demanded things of her, then when Arun touched her, she would be forced by her husband’s own commands to accept the advances of another man.

Arun was bound to make advances. Adam could not control what Arun did anymore than Arun could control what Adam did. Knowledge of each other’s actions with no way to intervene was its own kind of torture. He spent the evening trying to come up with a solution.

The solution was the truth.

Julia Kent ~ presents ~ Hasty

Out Now
HASTY
(Do-Over Series Book 4)
by Julia Kent
(@jkentauthor) #romcom #romance
Author: Julia Kent
Release date: July 28, 2020
Genre: Romantic Comedy, Contemporary Romance
Cover Designer: Hang Le
Editor: Elisa Reed

 Description:

AN ALL-NEW STANDALONE FROM NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR JULIA KENT COMPLETES THE DO-OVER SERIES!

I never thought my perp walk would lead to true love.

Then again, I never thought I’d be arrested on RICO charges and hauled away in zip ties on camera for the world to see, minutes after closing the most amazing deal of my career.

And all of it in front of my biggest rival, billionaire wunderkind Ian McRory.

I am broke.

I am disgraced.

I am alone.

I am a sucker.

But the worst part? I have to go back to my hometown and live in my bedroom filled with relics from my childhood.

Lisa Frank never made me so mad before.

Just when I needed a rescue, I got one — in the form of help from my biggest rival.

He can’t bring back my money.

He certainly can’t bring back my reputation or my pride.

But there’s one thing he can bring back to me.

A sense of hope.

Maybe even love.

Ian sees something in me no one else does, and he’s relentless about making me see it, too. As we grow closer, I’m starting to see that while my entire life used to be a lie, the truth is staring me in the present — and it’s a truth I like very, very much, hot eyes and gorgeous smile and all.

But I have to be careful.

I can’t be too —

That’s right.

Hasty.

The final book in the USA Today bestselling Do-Over Series (Fluffy, Perky, Feisty), as Mallory's sister, Hastings "Hasty" Monahan gets her turn at a happily ever after that starts off with an arrest.

Hers.

Author Bio:
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Kent writes romantic comedy with an edge. Since 2013, she has sold more than 2 million books, with 4 New York Times bestsellers and more than 19 appearances on the USA Today bestseller list. Her books have been translated into French and German, with more titles releasing in 2020 and beyond.

From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. Unlike Shannon from Shopping for a Billionaire, she did not meet her husband after dropping her phone in a men's room toilet (and he isn't a billionaire she met in a romantic comedy).

She lives in New England with her husband and three children where she is the only person in the household with the gene required to change empty toilet paper rolls.

Excerpt:

Ian keeps chasing me, though. Why? And why does the fact that he won't let up thrill me?

That's the part I hate. The thrill. The zing of arousal that shoots through me every time that jerkface–who isn't a jerk–does this. He's pursuing me and I don't understand it, but I do like it.

More than I want to admit.

The fight inside me feels like layers of muscles in my abs are in a tug-of-war. Ian McCrory represents everything I fought to achieve in my old life. Self-made billionaire. Liked by everyone. Admired by even more.

Respected for his hardcore negotiating skills.

And droolingly handsome.

He was my nemesis. My enemy. The guy who sniped deals, and who I sniped from. We were adversaries, but he flipped the script, didn't he? Coming to my rescue. Aiding me in a time of need.

I don't want to need him.

And I especially don't need to want him.

I stare at the phone. Just as my finger goes to the Power button to turn it off again, three dots appear.

One dinner. Indulge me?

I go into my contacts, and I block him.

He just proved me right.

Taking help from people means you're obligated.

And no matter how sweet the currency he's dangling, I don't like owing him.

I don't like owing anyone.

Burke turned my entire life into one big debt.

But my body isn't available as collateral.

And neither is my heart.

TEASER EXCERPT

At the dinner table, Harold tapped Nate’s shoulder. “Mind if I sit here, Buddy?”

“Buddy?” Nate’s startled face looked up, and then he stood, pushing the chair back as he did so. “You feeling okay? Since when am I your buddy?”

“I guess I should apologize for the way I’ve been treating you,” Harold muttered.

“Apologize? To me? Did I hear you right?” Nate’s shocked expression disappeared as he looked down at Mika, and then back at Harold. “I get it now. No problem, Buddy, she’s already told me where I stand with her.”

Nate put his hand on Harold’s shoulder and leaned close. “I wish you luck. She’s really a nice person. I’m surprised it’s taken you this long to figure it out,” he whispered in Harold’s ear before he moved away.

He looked at Nate strangely. Nate was being civil and he didn’t have to be. It made Harold ashamed of the way he’d treated him in the past. He was going to have to try to rectify that. Maybe he’d misjudged Nate.

Harold nodded, “Thanks,” he said.

“It’s nice sitting next to Mika. You’re going to like it Uncle Harold. She always smells good, and she’s funny, too,” Billy said.

“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” Harold smiled at Billy and winked at Mika.

Billy leaned forward so he could see around Mika. Cupping his hand around the side of his mouth, he whispered, “I thought you were mad at her. You always said mean things to her.”

“I did, didn’t I?”

Billy nodded. “Uh huh.”

Harold leaned in front of Mika, too. Lowering his head conspiratorially, he asked, “Do you think she’ll forgive me?”

Billy looked up at Mika. Mika nodded. “I think so,” Billy whispered.

“Should I ask her now?” Another nod from Billy. Harold straightened up to a sitting position. Taking Mika’s hand, he asked, “Can you forgive me for being so mean to you? I promise to make it up to you.” Her hand felt so right in his, so he did what was in his heart. He lifted it to his lips.

Mika gasped. Apparently she hadn’t expected him to express his feelings so openly.

“I think you scared her, Uncle Harold.”

“He didn’t scare me, Billy, he surprised me.” She squeezed Harold’s fingers and smiled at him.

“I hope to continue surprising you for a long time.” He was going to put his heart out there. He had to let her know she was important to him.
