BLURB:
Adrian Asorio can't seem to move on after the death of his beloved wife Angelina. While trying to fill the lonely hours in his empty life, he discovers Minerva's Mystic Museum. A painting of a female artist painting a nude male model fascinates him. He finds himself thinking about, and wanting, the male model. He begins to question his sexuality.

Adrian is chosen as this full moon's mystic walker. He is transported to Dulce Isle where he meets Jon and Rosa in the flesh. Adrian must confront his newly discovered sexual orientation and overcome the guilt he feels.

Rosa DeVario and Jon Balentine shared a life with Rosa’s husband, Leon. When Leon died, both were heartbroken. Without Leon as their common denominator, Jon has reverted to his "loving men only" lifestyle, leaving Rosa without a partner.

Will Adrian's arrival on Dulce Isle be the answer that mends three tattered and broken lives? The universe has provided the opportunity…Adrian's heart holds the key.

Here is the premise for the Mystic Museum Series

Minerva’s Mystic Museum is located in New York City. Every full moon the “powers that be” choose someone from the visitors of the museum. This someone, known as the mystic walker, will be the hero/heroine of the novel. The “powers” select someone they feel deserves a second chance, or just a chance to follow their destiny. Minerva, the curator and caretaker of the museum meets the chosen mystic walker. Through the magic that has been entrusted to her, Minerva supplies them with the opportunity to change their lives.

TEASER / EXCERPT:

She’d gone quickly. At least he hoped she hadn’t suffered. He’d come home for lunch one day and found her, dead on the kitchen floor. He could still feel the shock of that discovery, the wrenching pain, and the ensuing numbness. She was too young to die. She’d been ripped from him much too soon. Life without his Angelina was not worth living.

Excerpts:
Shopping for a Billionaire’s Fiancee:

Shannon has a key to my place, and as I walk in the door I see candlelight. Flickering flame is to a man what Ben & Jerry’s is to a woman.

A sign of a sure thing.

“Shannon?” I call out, following the disorganized scatter of lit candles in the living room. Shadows dance on the wall in my hallway, and I round the corner to my bedroom to find her, spread out on my bed, wearing garters, stockings, the red corset, and—

She’s asleep.

That’s okay. I can work with asleep.

I can’t work with absent.

You’d be surprised how fast a man can undress when under the complete control of testicles so full they look like a case of mumps. I’m out of my clothes in seventeen sec-onds or so (who’s counting?) and on the bed, my hands taking in her prone body. I’m allowed to touch. We have an unwritten rule. It goes something like this:

Touch Shannon.

It’s a simple rule.

Her skin is so soft, my fingers scraping against the rolling contour of her inner thigh, from knee to heaven. The whorls of ridges on my fingertips feel like raw sandpaper against her porcelain flesh. My breathing slows, eyes adjusting to the dim light, taking in her body. How did I ever get so lucky?

From Toilet Girl to Mrs. McCormick in eighteen months.

Shopping for a CEO:

It’s Andrew McCormick.

Oh, sweet holy hell.

I haven’t seen him in months. Haven’t kissed him since we were in the emergency room after my best friend, Shannon, swallowed the engagement ring his brother, Declan, gave to her as he proposed.

(A tip: don’t bury a three-carat diamond ring in a piece of tiramisu at a fancy restaurant as a way of proposing to a woman. Any woman. Why ruin the dessert like that?)

I’m the maid of honor for the wedding. Andrew is the best man. We’ve managed to avoid each other so far, but the wedding is three months away. I knew this day was coming.

But I didn’t expect it to be today.

My heart starts skipping beats as I take him in from afar, shielded by the angle of my bench. He has no idea I’m watching him. Thick hair, cut short and with the kind of layered sophistication that only comes from a stylist who charges three figures. Shaded eyes that I know are sharp and smoldering, a blend of brown and honey that makes you melt inside. He’s in a full suit, tie still snug against his neck, the moonlight reflecting off a white shirt. His grin is contagious, making my own smile widen as I tilt my head and let myself get lost in wondering.

Shopping for a Billionaire’s Wife:

As we walk into the lounge, every single pair of eyes swivels to take us in.

“Why are they staring at us?” I ask Declan, clutching his arm.

“Because you’re wearing a wedding dress and I look like something out of a BBC documentary?” he answers smoothly.

I look down at myself. Look over at him. Take in the kilt, the socks covering his calves, the laces on his special Scottish shoes.

“Oh.”

One of the patrons, a man who is sitting next to a woman who looks like an adventurous traveler and not a mannequin on a rich man’s arm, points to the television, then back to us.

“You two on the run?”

Declan frowns and pulls me closer to the television.

Where someone is interviewing my mother.

Steve Grogan ~ 3rd interview and his novel ~ Maybe The Dream Knows What Is Real

I AM PLEASED TO WELCOME BACK AUTHOR
Steve Grogan for his 3rd appearance

BLURB:

He was lost, directionless, unable to find his identity. He thought he found it in her, which was good because he was teetering on the edge of madness. She had no way of knowing her actions would push him over it.

This novella is part splatterpunk, part erotica, part psychological study of an unstable mind, told in Steve's highly visual and deeply emotional prose.

Some stories have protagonists/narrators for which you can feel empathy, or at the very least you can feel sorry for them. This isn't one of those tales.

This is a story about a young man who makes the mistake of depending on others to give him a sense of self-worth. It is a dark, disturbing story not meant for the faint of heart. The graphic content makes up only 15% of the prose, but it is some of the most harrowing writing ever committed to page.

BANTER – STUFF ABOUT YOU

Q: Did you like school when you were a child?
A: No, I hated it. Hated every double-standard, identity-crushing minute of it, especially during grade school when I was too weak to stand up for myself. I remember the teachers saying at the beginning of the school year, “Everyone learns at a different pace, so don’t make fun of anyone just because it takes them longer to understand something.” They SAID this, but they didn’t believe it, because I remember being yelled at quite often for not giving the right answer. So it’s not okay to make fun of someone, but it’s okay to yell at them, to humiliate them in front of the rest of the class? What were they thinking that would do to little egos?

Q: Texting, love it or hate it?
A: I don’t mind it sometimes, but every now and then, I find myself needing to say something that is just too long to text, so then I try to call someone…and THAT is when texting gets on my nerves, because the same person who has been texting me back and forth for hours (which means they are OBVIOUSLY near the phone) won’t pick up!

BOOKS – ABOUT THE CRAFT

Q: Which of your own releases was your particular favorite?
A: MAYBE THE DREAM KNOWS WHAT IS REAL

Q: How do you handle a writer's block?
A: Practice martial arts, play guitar, watch a movie.

Q: Do you write longhand first, or does it go straight into the computer?
A: Longhand. I like to write on my breaks at work, and the only way to do that is to scribble away in a notebook.

Q: Are you a sit down and play it by ear kind of writer, or do you need a structured guideline, or maybe a little of both?
A: I write an outline, but it has just the bare minimum of detail. That way I can keep things flexible if the need arises.

Q: When crafting the story do you go from beginning to end, or do you jump around writing the scenes that are pushing themselves forward in your brain?
A: Definitely from beginning to end.

BOOKS - NOW LETS PROMOTE – STRUT YOUR STUFF

Q: What are you working on now? Would you like to share anything about it?
A: I’ve got a lot of ideas that haven’t been written yet. The one I am going to work on next is about a guy who wakes up one day and finds he has the ability to heal people. Word gets out about this, and it soon takes over his life.

Q: Do you have a new book coming out soon? Tell us about it.
A: Not at the moment.

Q: How can we find you? Do you have a web page, FaceBook page or any buy links?
A: https://stevegroganauthor.com/ and here is a link for the story I am promoting the most these days: https://www.amazon.com/Maybe-Dream-Knows-What-Real-ebook/dp/B07F1QTN8R/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=maybe+the+dream+knows+what+is+real+steve+grogan&qid=1574543306&sr=8-1

Minerva recognizes her pain and provides her with the opportunity to change her life. The full moon has chosen Carolyn as a mystic walker.

Carolyn’s dormant sexuality is awakened by three handsome shape-shifters. Jacob, caring and nurturing, lures her into his world. Milo, impetuous and rough, awakens unknown desire. Sven, cold and reserved, tests her mettle. Will she choose to walk on the wild side with the wolf pack and become their female? Will she be able to convince Sven that she is worthy and should be given the opportunity to join the pack? Will Sven’s fear of losing another mate destroy the future of the pack? Or will Carolyn choose to return to the normal life she’d come to see as her due?

Minerva’s Mystic Museum is located in New York City. Every full moon the “powers that be” choose someone from the visitors of the museum. TEASER / EXCERPT:

“I’m not used to having men around. At least not guys like you.” She looked from one to the other.

“Guys like us?” Jacob asked. His tone was light and joking.

Her face flushed. “There is so much testosterone in this place I can barely breathe…I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that.” Her cheeks flamed.

“Why not?” Jacob asked. A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.

“Are you playing with me?” Her trepidation was beginning to disappear.

“Oh, you have no idea how I’d like to play with you,” Jacob said.

She heard Milo growl. The rosy hue on her cheeks deepened. She felt the heat of it. “Are you trying to embarrass me in front of Milo?”

“I’m sure Milo would like to play with you, too,” Jacob teased. He looked at her with a building heat.

“Damn straight,” Milo agreed. Milo looked at her. Blatant desire raged in his gaze.

At least, that’s the plan.

EXCERPT:
Charlotte really, really hates crowds.

When you love someone, you do things for them that you would never in a million years do if you weren't bonded to them. For instance, I don't give a shit about foreign films. Never liked them. It's not that I don't get that other cultures and countries produce movies. And I can appreciate a good one. I just–when left to my own devices–won't seek them out.

I go with Charlotte to the ones she chooses because it jazzes her. And making her happy makes me happy.

Charlotte, on the other hand, cannot stand crowds. But she's with a guy whose entire livelihood depends on them. Tolerating the mad throngs of humanity squished inches from each other in stinky bars is how Charlotte supports my happiness.

And my bank balance.

Loving someone involves tradeoffs.

Categories: Historical Paranormal Romance (MF), Time Travel, HEA

BLURB:
Leslie Braddock feels responsible for her husband’s death. She is having trouble reentering the dating scene. Leslie travels back in time where she meets Sir James.

Sir James Winford is a three-time widower. He believes he is cursed, and is certain death to any woman he loves. He has vowed never to love again.

Emily, the ghost of Sir James's first wife has unfinished business, and still lingers at Winford Manor. She wants to see her husband happy, and she wants to bring her murderer to justice.

Rose has loved Sir James since childhood. She must live with the unspeakable things she has done trying to make James see her as more than a child. She believes she is close to achieving that goal when Leslie shows up.

Leslie and Sir James share the experience of losing a loved one. Will Leslie be the woman to break the curse? Or will she be just another victim.

TEASER / EXCERPT:
James took her hand in his. “The pleasure is all mine,” he said as he raised her hand to his lips and lightly kissed the back of it.

A kiss on the back of the hand, she thought. Kudos to him, he just earned her attention. She returned her hand to the warmth of the blanket. “I’m lucky you came along,” she said. She suppressed a shiver.

“Yes, quite. I’m very late tonight. I had a lot to finish up in town today. I will be home for two weeks. I didn’t want any loose ends while I’m away from the office. If not for that, I would have been home much earlier.”

“Where is home?”

“Winford Manor.”

“Of course, James Winford,” she managed to get out just before the carriage went over a bump that had her clinging to the seat for support and catching her breath. “Geez,” she complained softly.

“There, do you see the lights?” Sir James raised his hand and pointed into the fog.

She did and she didn’t. The fog seemed to be glowing up ahead. But it didn’t look like lights to her. “Sort of,” she answered. She kept a death grip on the side of the carriage, bracing herself for another jarring jolt.

“We’ll be there soon,” he said and flicked the reins. “Get up now.”

The horses didn’t increase their speed. That was okay with her. The road was bumpy and the seat was hard.

The carriage came to a halt in front of the manor. The stableboy ran out to lead the horses away. “Good evening, Sir James,” he said. He stood there holding the halter of the horse nearest to him, struggling to catch his breath after the run he’d just made.

“Good evening, Bobby,” Sir James replied. “Take good care of them. They had a hard time of it tonight,” Sir James said as he got out of the rig. He went to the boy and ruffled his hair.

“Yes, sir.” The boy looked up at Sir James. His face was smudged.

“And then get some hot chocolate from Cook for yourself.” He squeezed the boy’s shoulder.

“Yes, sir,” Bobby replied smiling. He put his cap on his head. He waited patiently for the carriage to be empty.

“Let me help you down.” Sir James offered her his hand. He looked at Leslie’s feet. “Strange shoes,” he thought out loud. “Pants?” He cleared his throat to cover his shock. “Odd, but not unheard of,” he added in a mumble.

Leslie stepped out of the carriage and Bobby led it away. She and Sir James moved toward the manor.

The butler opened the door. “Good evening,” he said.

“Barkley, please tell Cook we have company, and I should like some tea. Is my mother about?”

“Yes, sir, Lady Margaret is in the parlor.”

“Good, bring the tea there, and some brandy,” he said as he took off his top coat and hat. He handed them to the butler.

When you’re born without a trace, no one knows you’re a weapon.

Book Blurb:
The future isn’t real.

The past isn’t real, either.

Only the present is, solid and full, flying at our faces, our bodies, our hearts and souls at breakneck speed as we work to take it all in.

As we work to protect others.

And, finally - ourselves.

We’ve started to break the bonds of Stateless, a system as rotten as the one it seeks to destroy. But systems are organisms with one brutal goal: to survive, whatever it takes.

Kina has to do the unfathomable to save a different system, one she created out of empathy and love for children we rescued from the only home they know.

She’ll use her mind, her body, her spirit — and her ultimate weapons: love, and —

Me.

Excerpt
In what world does a one-year-old get gut shot?

This one.

During all our training, we were taught that mass society is a brutal, violent place where children are abused, treated like cannon fodder, shot and killed in gang warfare, and neglected by parents more concerned about drugs, drink, and fun than stability, order, or decency.

And yet here we are, my arms and one leg twisted into Kina's body, holding her in place so she doesn't follow the injured.

Among them a baby.

A baby.

“Why?” Kina groans, dropping to her knees, dead weight in my arms, my hold on her reflexive. She doesn't know how badly she's needed here. Thomas's gunshot wound is grave. I understand why she wants to go.

But there is so much more where we're going.

Reviews and Endorsements for Meli Raine Books:
“The first book in the False trilogy is a psychological thriller worthy of Hitchcock, keeping you guessing until the very end.” — Apple Books Editors

“…intrigue and dark humor on display in this thriller…”

While the immediate—and more compelling—tension in Raine’s (A Shameless Little Bet, 2018, etc.) heart-pumping series opener comes from Lily’s constant proximity to her would-be killer, the action takes place against a backdrop of secret government scandals. The “screwed-up D.C.-insider scandal,” as it is clumsily summarized early on, is pleasingly twisty…

Fortunately, Lily’s voice is captivating, wry, and tough enough to sell this thriller. The novel ends with a cliffhanger that startles, if only because readers will have become so attached to Lily.
— Kirkus Reviews

“Fresh, riveting, and thrumming with emotion and romantic suspense, False Memory is absolutely unputdownable. You need this book!” - New York Times bestselling author Meghan March

“I accidentally lost a day to this trilogy! It is unputdownable. Apparently I'm on a dark-and-twisty binge, and this book is addictive.” - USA Today bestselling author Sarina Bowen (review for Harmless series)

Steve Grogan ~ 2nd interview and his novel ~ Maybe The Dream Knows What Is Real

I AM PLEASED TO WELCOME AUTHOR
Steve Grogan

BANTER – STUFF ABOUT YOU
Q: What is your least favorite word? Is there a reason?
A: Anything that is derogatory (the N-word, retard, etc.), because I don’t like cruelty

Q: Bedtime, relaxing so you can sleep sounds. Is your preference, white noise, TV, soft music, ocean waves, forest or meadow sounds, babbling brook, or something else?
A: I prefer listening to a humidifier or a fan, or anything with a steady hum to it. I can listen to music, but only if it either has no vocals (like classical music) or if the voices are buried so deep in the mix that they’re like another instrument.

Q: What kind of music do you listen to? Do you have an all time favorite song?
A: I listen to just about anything, but I am a 90’s alt-rock kid. If I had to pick one favorite song, it would have to be “Cherub Rock” by the Smashing Pumpkins. I tried learning guitar before that came out, but I had given up. Once I heard that tune, I was inspired to learn again. It changed my life.

BOOKS – ABOUT THE CRAFT
Q: Describe your favorite heroine? (This doesn’t have to be one of yours.)
A: Michonne from THE WALKING DEAD, especially once she starts to warm up and talk more. Proof that you don’t have to be rough around the edges to be a badass.

Q: Describe your favorite hero? (This doesn’t have to be one of yours.)
A: Randall Patrick McMurphy from ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST. He is fearless, not intimidated by anyone despite their level of power or authority.

Q: Who's your favorite author?
A: Hard to say. Thomas Pynchon, Phillip K. Dick, William Gibson, James Joyce, Clive Barker, William S. Burroughs…each one has given me a different kind of inspiration.

Q: Your favorite title?
A: Again, so hard to narrow down to one. ULYSSES, GRAVITY’S RAINBOW, NAKED LUNCH, NEUROMANCER, A SCANNER DARKLY, THE STRANGER, IMAJICA.

Q: Would you ever consider a joint project?
A: Yes, but it would depend on who it was with.

BLURB:
Jennifer Hartstrum has trouble with men. Her relationship with an abusive father left her with a speech impediment that flares up only when she dates. Her friend talks her into trying an exciting new dating experience, the Anonymous Club, a place where a date is an adventure and fantasies can come true. One must choose an alias, and anonymity is guaranteed.

Andrew Martin is looking for a woman who can keep up with him outside of the bedroom as well as in bed. He tries the Anonymous Club with low expectations.

When Jennifer and Andrew meet, it is Chemistry 101. Have they found what they are looking for? In a world of aliases and mystery, is anyone really who they say they are? What happens when anonymity is good for one but not the other?

TEASERS:
“Whatever,” Joe said as he sat down in the La-Z-Boy across from Andrew. “I’m telling you it’s worth it. In bed, out of bed, it was f***ing amazing. They create these elaborate settings. It makes you feel like you’re really there. If nothing else you will appreciate that end of it.”

She caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. The harem slave girl outfit was very revealing and sexy, resembling an I Dream of Jeannie costume. The costume person layered her in large sheer scarves. When she asked why, the woman said, “Dance of the seven scarves. You know the strip.” She didn’t know, but she got the idea. Right now almost no skin showed. She would have to “strip” to get down to that Jeannie costume.
