ABOUT THE BOOK:

Many of these short stories have the same characters in them, in different times and in different places. This is the first book of chronicles of role play that started on AOL years ago up until it’s demise. All stories in this book take place in New Orleans in the 1800’s. The stories are collaborations by many people but mostly by my writing partner Amber Rendon and myself. We hope you’ll enjoy them, they are in their true form, some editing done for aesthetics as well as grammar and while I cannot promise they are in order to complete a whole story, I have done the best I could to put them together in such a way that each story is unique yet fits into the whole of a novel. There is something for everyone in this collection; vampires, werewolves, sex, seduction, blood and tears. This book is a celebration of a montage of writers from many places. BANTER – STUFF ABOUT YOU

Q: If you didn’t have to clean them, how many bathrooms would you have in your home?
A: Three, if I didn’t have to clean them I’d have one just for guests, one for my daughter and one for me. I don’t really care for people using mine or my daughter’s restroom when here, it’s just an OCD thing I think. So, I’d definitely want three.

How many if you have to clean them?
A: Two, I have two now and I clean them both.

Q: Bedtime, relaxing so you can sleep sounds. Is your preference, white noise, TV, soft music, ocean waves, forest or meadow sounds, babbling brook, or something else?
A: White noise but sometimes soft melodious pagan music.

Q: What kind of music do you listen to? Do you have an all time favorite song?
A: My all time favorite types of music are old 60’s and 70’s folk or Pagan music. One of my all time favorite songs would have to be one I sing a lot from Outlander, The Skye Boat Song I love the show Outlander and I truly love that song.

BOOKS – ABOUT THE CRAFT

Q: Describe your favorite hero? (This doesn’t have to be one of yours.)
A: My favorite hero is from a book I read when I was only ten years old. His name is Cutter and he lives in the world of Elfquest. He’s a Wolfrider and he leads his tribe of elves to a safe place. If you’ve never read any of the books you really need to. There is something for everyone in them!

Q: Who's your favorite author?
A: I have two actually, George R.R. Martin because he’s not afraid to kill off well loved characters and Stephen King because of the same reason but also because he’s just so in depth with his creations. I truly love his style. I hope someday he’ll read my books and love my style since we share a birthday!

Q: Your favorite title?
A: Elfquest by Richard and Wendy Pini & Christine by Stephen King, because who doesn’t love killer cars and wolf riding elves?

Q: Would you ever consider a joint project?
A: I would definitely. I have been writing with a partner for 16 years so I’d definitely consider a joint project with others. Especially someone like Stephen King… see where I’m going with this? I’m purposely trying to get his attention.

EXCEREPT FROM ~ INTRIGUE

Had she not been totally lost to her thoughts, he might have been soundless, but his scent would have been caught. Alas, however, he caught her off guard. The initial touch that brought his hands to her shoulders, she jumped ever so slightly with a quick glance over her shoulder, and following sigh of relief and comfort. "I'm doing all right." A brief, though reassuring smile given, her attention returned out the window to watch the rain fall. "Tylie should be here next week." She'd taken his worry to thought, of exposing her daughter to pack life. It was different here than it had been in Russia and New Zealand, but she was sure she would adjust quickly. The beauty of youth. The hands of comfort she began to just melt into, letting her head fall back and posture lax slightly. Thinking further on it, she smiled. "Sure you're ready for her? She's just turned four and is all mom. Spitfire little thing she is." She laughed softly, turning her head another to look at him with that same smile, the one of an adoring parent with a challenging child.

"Completely." The smile returned he leaned down to kiss her forehead quickly before releasing her. There was a look of worry on his face though it had nothing to do with Tylie coming to stay at Wolff Manor, as a matter of fact.... he'd heard that some young man had been about looking for him and claiming to be his son. He'd walked a few paces away before turning to look at her once again. "Jae, have you by chance heard of a young man looking for me? Someone that claims to be my son?" For the past few days he'd been trying to figure out just how... or by who... he could think of only one woman he'd been with and she had told him at the time she was barren. Settling in a high-backed chintz chair he eyed her for a moment thoughtfully. (d)

She nodded, turning to face him but not moving away from the window. "I heard the guards making jokes about it, but nothing more. Is this a real concern of yours Trig?" A light smile in curiosity. "Daddy wolf been playing vagabond?" She snickered softly, all in good humor despite knowing that the situation could indeed be serious. "In passing, I heard them talking about a man who came saying you were his father. He was in tow with one of the kindred they didn't seem too much get along." A lazy shrug, that was all she knew and didn't totally believe it since it was the guard who'd said it.

Her humor at the situation brought an amused light to his eyes, silvery grays dancing for a moment with mirth. "Don't start... you know I have always been careful with that sort of thing, though I have to wonder. It seems odd he would just suddenly show up with these claims. If he comes, even if I'm not here I want you to take him in. I need to find out the truth." Pausing a moment he lifted one hand to run across the scruff of a beard. "I don't know...maybe, just maybe he is my son. I wouldn't be surprised but if it's Tarin..." He was speaking to himself as much as he was to her, she'd said she was unable to have children. She'd been the only human he'd ever lain with, however that he was not at all careful with. It wasn't that Trigve' didn't want children it was just that he'd never been the kind to stay with anyone and so he'd made damn sure he'd been more than careful not to end up putting them in a precarious position. It wasn't easy to raise a Lycan child.
