TEASER / EXCERPT:

Teaser:

“What did you choose for tonight?” Megan asked, standing in the doorway to Jennifer’s bedroom.

“The Librarian.”

“Figures.”

“What do you mean by that?” Jennifer asked as she stepped on the stool and reached for the top shelf of the closet.

“Where do you work? Oh that’s right, a bookstore.”

“Cut me some slack. I’ve tried The Stewardess, On the Ranch, and The Fireman. I think I deserve a break from the unusual,” she said as she grabbed the shoe box.

“I’m sorry they didn’t turn out very well for you, Jen. They sounded like fun to me. “

“They weren’t that bad. I just wasn’t expecting the guys to be ‘acting the part’ so to speak. Once I got past that I was okay. I’m just glad you can blackball names. I don’t want to waste my time with any of them again. At least they were all gentlemen and accepted no for an answer when the subject of sex came up at the end of the night. ”

“I knew they would be. I’ll see you later. George is waiting for me. Good luck and have some fun tonight. I won’t wait up for you this time.”

Jennifer envied Megan her relationship with George. It wasn’t perfect, but they did seem to be able to talk to each other, and they had things in common. She hoped to find that someday.

She left the house in her sweatpants and T-shirt. The makeup and wardrobe artists would change it all anyway.
