BLURB:

The odds are against him, but Jerin will find a way! With or without the gene Kaley will be his…

On Setera, only one in four hundred thousand is born possessing the cryan gene—a gene essential to the survival of the Seteran race. Jerin and the others like him are duty bound to find the match to that gene somewhere in the universe, for it can no longer be found on Setera. With no clear instructions on how this task is to be accomplished it is a daunting undertaking, like finding a needle in a haystack.

Jerin’s assigned quadrant is Earth. After twelve years of searching he is beginning to lose hope, until the answer hits him over the head with a frying pan. Now all he has to do is convince this beautiful, feisty woman to follow him to another universe in a galaxy far far away.

TEASER / EXCERPT:

“I am an alien. Setera is in the Onaris One solar system.”

She stared at him for a long moment and then laughed.

“You’re kidding, right?” She searched his face. “You don’t look like you are kidding.” She sounded frightened.

He squeezed her hands trying to reassure her.

“Is this some kind of a joke?” Her lips began to tremble.

He wanted to take her into his arms and comfort her, but he knew he shouldn’t. The truth was beginning to sink in.

“No, it’s not a joke.” He tried to sound reassuring.

“Then you’re a liar. You’ve been lying to me all this time.” Panic lived in every one of the words. Her face appeared horror stricken.

“I don’t lie.”

He watched her struggle with her thoughts.

“I know that,” she said as her eyes closed and she slid off the chair and on to the floor.

Five years later she is compelled to visit Minerva’s Mystic Museum. The ‘powers that be’ have interceded giving her the chance to change that destiny.

Will Adam’s ugly face and Arun’s kinky sexual desires send her running home? Or, will she stay with her husband, honoring her betrothal commitment?

Does Korina have a kinky side as well?

How will she break the curse? Does she want to?

Here is the premise for the Mystic Museum Series

Minerva’s Mystic Museum is located in New York City. Every full moon the “powers that be” choose someone from the visitors of the museum. This someone, known as the mystic walker, will be the hero/heroine of the novel. The “powers” select someone they feel deserves a second chance, or just a chance to follow their destiny. Minerva, the curator and caretaker of the museum meets the chosen mystic walker. Through the magic that has been entrusted to her, Minerva supplies them with the opportunity to change their lives.

TEASER / EXCERPT:

“So, you weren’t ignoring me on purpose. I saw you looking my way a few times. I thought you might want to run. You will have to forgive me for thinking the worst. People usually avoid making contact with me. I think it’s my overly handsome face.”

His lips were smiling at his joke. He even chuckled, but his eyes conveyed the hurt he felt about the truth, and her heart ached for him.

Her lips formed a warm smile. “It is something to behold,” she said and winked.

She leaned forward and touched his hand.

It took a moment, but he laughed, and the sound of it warmed her heart. She had a feeling he didn’t laugh very much.

“Beautiful, gracious, and witty, I didn’t think the woman who married me would possess even one of those qualities.”

“I’m sorry to hear that. You seem to have a good sense of humor.”

“People rarely hang around long enough to discover that.”

“Well, I’m going to be around for a while.” She leaned back in her seat once again.

“Maybe not.”

“I will not dishonor my parents. We are married and will remain married for at least one year.”

“So you know about that clause in the arrangement. I thought you might.”

“I learned about it today. My parents would have supported me had I decided not to marry you, though.”

“I would have understood your refusal. I was expecting to be shackled to someone as ugly as I am. To my mind, that would be the only kind of woman who would make the commitment to someone who looks like me. I was resigned to that inevitability. You see, I too could refuse, but given my circumstances I would not even consider it.”

“What do you mean by, ‘my circumstances’?”

“You’re not going to like this.”

He lowered his eyes as if he were embarrassed.

“Let me be the judge of that. You seem to want to be honest with me. That means something, and it matters to me.”

“I hope so, but you’re not going to like it.” He looked at her intently and asked, “Are you a virgin?”

Her cheeks turned bright red. Now it was her turn to lower her eyes in embarrassment. In her exile, she’d tried to get close to a man because she’d been so lonely. The experience was not unpleasant, but it was not pleasant enough for her to try again when that relationship came to an end. With all the talk she’d heard about sexual pleasure, she’d expected more.

“I’d like our relationship to be based in honesty. Since you are being honest with me, I’ll be honest with you.”

She looked up into those beautiful eyes, eyes that she was beginning to fall in love with.

“I am not a virgin.”

He seemed surprised, but oddly pleased.

“Do you love him?”

His face reflected signs of worry.

“No, I probably never did. I was lonely, that’s all.”

“I would imagine you had all sorts of suitors. How could you possibly be lonely?” He sounded doubtful.

How could she explain this without lying to him, and without sounding like a madwoman?

“I was away from home for a few years. It was a strange land. I needed someone to share things with.”

She hoped that he wouldn’t realize that she wasn’t really old enough to have been away from home for a few years, especially away alone. He nodded and seemed satisfied. Maybe he understood needing someone to share things with.

“Good.”

He smiled at the shocked expression on her face.

“Virgins are difficult and needy. When you meet Arun, you will understand my relief.”

“Who is Arun? Isn’t that your middle name?”

“It is my middle name. Arun is my other half.”

“Your brother?”

“No, he is not my brother. He is the other half of me.”

It seemed like he wanted to say more. His lips moved, but no sound and no words escaped.

“He is part of you,” she said. It was a statement. She wanted to understand that that is what he wanted her to believe.

He nodded.

She frowned.

If that’s what he wanted, so be it. “Okay,” she said in a singsong tone that should have implied that she didn’t understand.

He smiled and appeared relieved.

“So…What is it that I’m not going to like?”

TEASER EXCERPT

“It’s been three weeks. I have to go back. There are things I need to take care of.”

“Like what?”

“Harold, be reasonable. I have some personal belongings that I want to get.” Shamika flipped the bacon that was sizzling in the frying pan. Its aroma filled the kitchen with a homey and appetizing scent. Her stomach growled.

“Are you talking about clothes? If your clothes are anything like what you were wearing when you arrived, you don’t need them.” He made a face that showed his distaste.

“Thanks for the vote of confidence regarding my fashion sense.” She elbowed him in the ribs. “For your information, those were my work clothes. I had to maintain a certain persona to live up to the expectations of my clients. Men expect the ‘working girl’ to look a certain way. It’s not my fault the other prostitutes have bad taste in clothing.”

TEASER / EXCERPT:

Meet this full moon’s mystic walker!

Minerva looked her right in the eye, something most people found difficult to do. She’d been told her gaze made people nervous. Minerva’s gaze made her nervous. She felt like her insides were being turned inside out and twisted about.

Minerva frowned. “I would never have guessed…as you wish,” she whispered.

“Excuse me?” Rowena said.

“I’m sorry. I was thinking out loud. It is nice to make your acquaintance, Rowena Milestone,” Minerva said. She released Rowena’s hand. “Safe journey,” she said over her shoulder as she moved away.

Rowena looked at the woman’s retreating back. Nice dress, she thought as she passed out.

BLURB:
Adrian Asorio can't seem to move on after the death of his beloved wife Angelina. While trying to fill the lonely hours in his empty life, he discovers Minerva's Mystic Museum. A painting of a female artist painting a nude male model fascinates him. He finds himself thinking about, and wanting, the male model. He begins to question his sexuality.

Adrian is chosen as this full moon's mystic walker. He is transported to Dulce Isle where he meets Jon and Rosa in the flesh. Adrian must confront his newly discovered sexual orientation and overcome the guilt he feels.

Rosa DeVario and Jon Balentine shared a life with Rosa’s husband, Leon. When Leon died, both were heartbroken. Without Leon as their common denominator, Jon has reverted to his "loving men only" lifestyle, leaving Rosa without a partner.

Will Adrian's arrival on Dulce Isle be the answer that mends three tattered and broken lives? The universe has provided the opportunity…Adrian's heart holds the key.

TEASER / EXCERPT:

Adrian tossed and turned. He awakened from a restless sleep. He’d been having a fretful dream. What had Angelina been trying to tell him? Were his feelings for Jon wrong? He felt conflicted. Angelina was asking the question, why? At first he’d felt guilty and ashamed, until he realized that she was asking him why Jon had developed his sexual preference. Now in a wakeful state he still felt ashamed because he didn’t know. He hadn’t cared. He didn’t think that it mattered, but now he wondered. If Angelina wanted to know, maybe he should, too.

He knew so little about Jon. If he had any hopes of making his new life here on Dulce Isle work he needed to know more about his new lover. He wanted his relationship with Jon to be open and truthful with no secrets between them. He was still trying to deal with the shame he felt for being attracted to a man. He was trying to deal with these absurd feelings of cheating on his dead wife. He was wrestling with the guilt he was feeling because he was beginning to look forward to each new day. Jon and Rosa were giving him hope for the future.
