“She’s different. She makes me feel…”

“Shit. I think you’re in love,” Joe said as he squeezed and then half-heartedly punched his friends shoulder.

“That’s not funny.”

“You’re telling me,” Joe agreed.

“No, I’m serious. I’ve never been affected by a woman like this. I can’t stop thinking about her. I keep reliving that night. She smelled so goddamn good. She tasted like…”

“You’ve got it bad.”

BLURB:

The odds are against him, but Jerin will find a way! With or without the gene Kaley will be his…

On Setera, only one in four hundred thousand is born possessing the cryan gene—a gene essential to the survival of the Seteran race. Jerin and the others like him are duty bound to find the match to that gene somewhere in the universe, for it can no longer be found on Setera. With no clear instructions on how this task is to be accomplished it is a daunting undertaking, like finding a needle in a haystack.

Jerin’s assigned quadrant is Earth. After twelve years of searching he is beginning to lose hope, until the answer hits him over the head with a frying pan. Now all he has to do is convince this beautiful, feisty woman to follow him to another universe in a galaxy far far away.

TEASER / EXCERPT:

“My aunt and uncle are due back tomorrow. I can’t wait until you meet them.”

“They can be the witnesses at our wedding.”

“We’ve known each other for less than two months, are you sure you want to marry me?”

Jerin knew that Kaley was the mate he would bring back to Setera with him. He hadn’t actually had a conversation about his mission with her yet. He thought she already understood. The daydream she’d had the day they met had told her of it. In the weeks since, he’d often wondered why they hadn’t been transported. Regardless, he could be happy spending the rest of his life here on Earth with Kaley if he had to. He loved her that much. He wanted to make her his in every way possible.

“I want to marry you here in your world and at home on Setera.”

“Don’t you mean ‘in’ Setera? Where exactly is Setera anyway? I’ve never heard of it.”

Now was as good a time as any to get things out in the open, once and for all. He had to know how she really felt.

“Do you remember the daydream you had the day we met?”

“As clearly as if it was two minutes ago.” She sighed and looked almost sad. “It is my heart’s desire.” Her breath hitched as she tried to control her emotions.

“Do you remember, I said that I could give you that life?”

“Yes, and you are. We are going to be married.”

“Your dream said that we would be married on Setera also.”

“So, is Setera an island or something?” Kaley looked over her shoulder as she was reaching into a kitchen cabinet putting the morning dishes away.

“Not exactly.”

So, she really didn’t understand.

“Kaley, come, sit down, there is something I need to tell you. We really have to get this straightened out.”

“You look really serious.” She wrinkled her brows with concern.

They both pulled chairs away from the table.

“I think I need to sit for this too.”

“What is it, Jerin?”

God, she was looking at him with such trust and innocence. How was she going to take this? Only one way to find out, he reached across the table and took her hands into his.

“I am an alien. Setera is in the Onaris One solar system.”

Does Korina have a kinky side as well?

How will she break the curse? Does she want to?

Here is the premise for the Mystic Museum Series

Minerva’s Mystic Museum is located in New York City. Every full moon the “powers that be” choose someone from the visitors of the museum. This someone, known as the mystic walker, will be the hero/heroine of the novel. The “powers” select someone they feel deserves a second chance, or just a chance to follow their destiny. Minerva, the curator and caretaker of the museum meets the chosen mystic walker. Through the magic that has been entrusted to her, Minerva supplies them with the opportunity to change their lives.

TEASER / EXCERPT:

From the shadows, Korina strained to see the man at the altar. The music sounded, and the strands of the wedding march filled the air.

“I guess it’s time,” she whispered.

“Having second thoughts?” her father asked.

“No…just scared.”

“I think you are being very brave. This is an outdated custom. It should be done away with.”

“Thank you for being willing to let me refuse. Knowing you care that much about me helps. Somehow it makes it easier.”

He nodded acknowledgement.

“They are waiting,” he said as he patted her hand.

“It’s showtime.”

Her father looked at her oddly. “What?”

“Nothing.” She felt her cheeks flush. She’d picked up that phrase in her exile.

Father and daughter stepped through the doorway.

All heads turned to look at the bride. Korina scanned the crowd. There was a small handful that she didn’t readily recognize but seemed vaguely familiar. Where were the guests from the groom’s side? Korina looked at the many expectant faces, faces she hadn’t seen in a long time. How she wanted to stop and talk to just about every one of them. She stomped down that urge. Her heart swelled, and she wanted to cry as contentment filled her. Beneath her veil, she smiled warmly. It didn’t matter that no one could see it.

By the time her father placed her hand into the hand of the groom, she had to close her eyes to stop the tears from falling.

That was the moment her fingers touched the skin of her betrothed. A wave of sensation passed through her body, warming her entire being and filling her with pleasure. The feeling lingered, yet when she opened her eyes, she had to fight to control the urge to jerk her hand away.

Korina focused on the eyes in the very homely, almost hideous face. Warm blue eyes, sensual eyes, eyes that suddenly looked hurt. Apparently, she hadn’t controlled the twitch of her hand as well as she’d thought. She squeezed his hand apologetically. His eyes registered his surprise. He seemed to be trying to see through the veil.

The priest called their attention to him. A hush fell over the room as the priest spoke the words that united her, body and soul, with a stranger.

TEASER EXCERPT

Shamika entered the kitchen. The picnic basket contents were prepared and waiting on the table. She looked out the door, hoping to see rain clouds gathering in the sky. No such luck. She looked over her shoulder at Nadine, who was chuckling and shaking her head.

“Harold already checked the weather station. We’re not expected to get any rain today,” Nadine said with a smile tickling the sides of her mouth.

Shamika’s shoulders slumped as she sighed with resignation. “I was afraid of that.”

“Funny, Harold said the same thing when he heard the report.”

“I bet he did.” Shamika crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back against the kitchen counter.

“He and Nate are saddling the horses now. I told Harold to get the saddlebags Hugo and I used to use. Hugo fixed those bags so we could carry a picnic lunch quite easily. I used to enjoy those picnics.”

Harold stormed into the kitchen. The screen door slammed closed behind him. Shamika could feel the anger wafting from him.

“Now, Harold, I taught you better than that. You know how I feel about slamming the screen door,” she said, clucking her tongue.

“You don’t like it any more than I like being shanghaied into being a tour guide.” He scowled at his mother and glared at Shamika.

“Don’t look at me like that. It wasn’t my idea,” Shamika said.

Nate tied the horses to the post outside the kitchen. He opened the door. “I brought the horses over.” He made sure the door closed gently.

“Well, finally, someone with manners who knows how to enter a house,” Nadine praised.

“If he’s such a good boy with fine manners, why don’t you have him escort Mika around today?” Harold ground out.

“I’d be more than happy to,” Nate said with laughter in his voice. He looked at Nadine hopefully, and then his gaze settled on her. He flashed a smile that had probably melted many a heart. Shamika rolled her eyes.

“That’s very nice of you, Nate, but Harold will do it,” Nadine answered.

Harold shot Nate a look filled with venom. What was that all about? Shamika wondered. Harold was the one that suggested Nate in the first place. What did it matter to him who took her on this tour anyway? Nate didn’t seem to notice. Maybe he was so used to those looks that it didn’t faze him anymore.
