Here is the premise for the Mystic Museum Series

Minerva’s Mystic Museum is located in New York City. Every full moon the “powers that be” choose someone from the visitors of the museum. This someone, known as the mystic walker, will be the hero/heroine of the novel. The “powers” select someone they feel deserves a second chance, or just a chance to follow their destiny. Minerva, the curator and caretaker of the museum meets the chosen mystic walker. Through the magic that has been entrusted to her, Minerva supplies them with the opportunity to change their lives.

“She’s got a temper,” Jacob said, releasing a pent-up breath.

“I’ll say,” Milo agreed, rubbing his hands on his thighs.

Sven smiled. “That she does,” he said.

“You like it. You like her,” Jacob said.

“I never said I didn’t like her.”

“Then what’s the problem? Why won’t you accept her into the pack?” Jacob asked. “If we’re going to create a pack of our own, we need a female. She’s everything we could ask for and more.”

Sven ran his hands over his head. “She’s weak. She won’t be able to protect herself.”

“Then we’ll protect her,” Milo said. “Without her we’re just three males pretending to be a pack.”

“Neither of you knows what it’s like to lose a mate. I do. If we were to lose her, we would be devastated. Her death would more than likely rip us apart.”

“If we don’t choose a mate, there is no future for the pack, there will never be a pack. She can handle us. Look how she just stood up to you. Milo and I need someone, so do you,” Jacob argued.

Sven glared at the two men. “I’ll see you later.” He turned and stormed out of the cabin.

“I don’t think he’s going to change his mind,” Milo said.

“He’s stubborn, but he’ll come around. He thinks he’s looking out for us. He has issues to deal with. I think it’s high time that he does. I’m not giving up.”

“Me, either. She’s really something else. I don’t want to let her go…Damn.” Milo adjusted his crotch. “I can’t think about her without getting hard. Thank God she likes to fuck. Maybe I can get a quickie before I have to leave.”

“I don’t doubt that she’d be willing. Believe me, I’d like to myself. But I think she’s annoyed with you and me for not agreeing with her.”

“I think you’ve got a point.” Milo looked toward her room wistfully. “Maybe later.”

“James, what has gotten into you, dear? You seem very chipper today.” Margaret stopped knitting to look at her son.

“Nothing, Mother. Can’t I remark on the weather? Especially when I have my riding partners here with me. What do you say, Leslie, Edward. Would you like to go riding?”

“I’d love to,” Leslie said. Her face exuded the excitement flowing through her blood.

“Actually it does sound like a good idea,” Edward agreed. “I’m ready for a change of scenery.”

“Then it is settled. Evers is off today, so we’ll have to saddle up ourselves.”

Two hours later they were on the trail. After a good race, Leslie turned Spartacus around. Spartacus reared up and snorted. He was prancing, still eager to run. “Edward, does Brandin jump?”

“Yes, he does. Why?”

“James, can we go to the meadow? Spartacus is still full of energy.” She controlled the restless horse. Her expression seemed to echo the excitement the horse was exhibiting.

“Anything you like, Leslie,” he said. He turned in his saddle and said, “Get ready to ride, Edward.”

“You let her jump in the meadow, James? In the meadow! That’s dangerous.” Edward pulled Brandin to a halt.

Leslie spurred Spartacus on. “I’ll see you there,” she called to them.

“You haven’t seen her in the meadow yet, Edward. I’m hard pressed to keep up with her.” He kicked Kadin so he could catch up. He called over his shoulder, “I suggest you get moving if you want to keep up.”

Edward spurred Brandin forward. “Blast you, James,” he sputtered.

Leslie reined Spartacus in at the clearing. “Come on, boys, you’re slowing us down,” she called.

“We’re right behind you, go ahead,” James shouted.

Spartacus took off and cleared the first hurdle effortlessly and then two more. James and Kadin were close behind her. Edward was bringing up the rear. “Damn—she can ride,” Edward said.

“A coma!” Abigail shrieked.

“How long does this sort of thing last?”

“Martin, there is no way of telling. She could snap out of it tomorrow or a year from now. The worst case scenario would be that she never does.”

“You mean to say that she could die like this?” Abigail screeched. “I can’t believe that.”

Jerin collapsed onto the chair next to Kaley’s bed. With his head between his palms, he rocked trying to contain the howl of pain that threatened to escape his throat. He understood how Abigail felt.

“Now, look what you’ve done Abbey. Kaley’s new beau looks like he’s going to be sick.”

Jerin groaned. He felt like he was going to sick up. He took a deep breath and stood. “That can’t happen. I won’t allow it. I just found her. I can’t lose her, blast it all! There is too much riding on us.”

“You don’t have too much to say about it, young man. I believe it is all up to her,” the doctor said.

“Are you saying she is in this coma because she wants to be?” Jerin asked. “Somehow I just can’t believe that.”

The doctor pinned Jerin with a stern look.

“I’m saying that she will come out of it when she’s ready and not before. We need to remind her that she’s wanted, needed and loved. That may help her decide to come back to us.”

“Can she hear us?” Abigail asked.

“Some say yes, some say no. I believe that talking to her can’t hurt.”

“Then I’ll talk to her until her ears fall off,” Jerin said.

“So will I,” Abigail offered. “Jerin, you can stay with us as long as you’d like. Isn’t that right, Martin?”

Martin looked at his wife’s panicked expression. “If it will make you feel better, Abbey, the boy can stay.”
