Five years later she is compelled to visit Minerva’s Mystic Museum. The ‘powers that be’ have interceded giving her the chance to change that destiny.
Korina is sent home where she discovers it is the morning of her wedding day. Determined to do the right thing, she marries Adam.
Witches are not unknown to Korina, so how will she handle the curse that has divided her husband into two men?
Adam is caring and kind. Arun is, well, a bastard! Unbeknownst to her they are two halves of the whole man she has married.
Will Adam’s ugly face and Arun’s kinky sexual desires send her running home? Or, will she stay with her husband, honoring her betrothal commitment?
Does Korina have a kinky side as well?
From the shadows, Korina strained to see
the man at the altar. The music sounded, and the strands of the wedding march
filled the air.
“I guess it’s time,” she whispered.
“Having second thoughts?” her father asked.
“No…just scared.”
“I think you are being very brave. This is
an outdated custom. It should be done away with.”
“Thank you for being willing to let me
refuse. Knowing you care that much about me helps. Somehow it makes it easier.”
He nodded acknowledgement.
“They are waiting,” he said as he patted
her hand.
“It’s showtime.”
Her father looked at her oddly. “What?”
“Nothing.” She felt her cheeks flush. She’d
picked up that phrase in her exile.
Father and daughter stepped through the
doorway.
All heads turned to look at the bride.
Korina scanned the crowd. There was a small handful that she didn’t readily
recognize but seemed vaguely familiar. Where were the guests from the groom’s
side? Korina looked at the many expectant faces, faces she hadn’t seen in a
long time. How she wanted to stop and talk to just about every one of them. She
stomped down that urge. Her heart swelled, and she wanted to cry as contentment
filled her. Beneath her veil, she smiled warmly. It didn’t matter that no one
could see it.
By the time her father placed her hand into
the hand of the groom, she had to close her eyes to stop the tears from
falling.
That was the moment her fingers touched the
skin of her betrothed. A wave of sensation passed through her body, warming her
entire being and filling her with pleasure. The feeling lingered, yet when she
opened her eyes, she had to fight to control the urge to jerk her hand away.
Korina focused on the eyes in the very homely,
almost hideous face. Warm blue eyes, sensual eyes, eyes that suddenly looked
hurt. Apparently, she hadn’t controlled the twitch of her hand as well as she’d
thought. She squeezed his hand apologetically. His eyes registered his
surprise. He seemed to be trying to see through the veil.
The priest called their attention to him. A hush fell over the room as the priest spoke the words that united her, body and soul, with a stranger.
